Yes.

There are in fact two means:
1. see section Quick Start Guide d) "Adding Data Source"

   ...with the given limitations which will be remedied asap 2. see installation section for configuring DataResources.ini

ST-ECF has already done so for HLA spectra and produced a very nice tutorial: http://www.stecf.org/archive/hla/stepbystep.php

A subtlety for SSA service providers:
It works both for SSA pre v1.0 as well as v1.0 provided "&REQUEST=queryData" is added explicity to the service end point. http://archive.eso.org/cms/tools-documentation/v-addresource.png
