New implementation of today: aladin server characterization in
XML!!!!
The Aladin server in SIAP atlas mode retrieves now three records
for each observation:
an image/fits one , and two text/xml one with a link to the characterisation in VOTABLE (allready annonced last week) and the other one with the XML BASED ON XML CHARACTERISATION SCHEMA.
You can check this in datascope or directly at http://aladin.u-strasbg.fr/cgi-bin/nph-HTTP.cgi?FORMAT=image/fits&mode=siap_atlas&out=qualifier (+ SIA standard service)
You can directly access characterization of a given observation
containing a given position, belonging to some survey/color
combination at URL like this:
http://aladin.u-strasbg.fr/cgi-bin/nph-HTTP.cgi?out=qualifier&position=2.454962+32.956300&survey=2MASS&color=J&mode=charxml
mode can be charxml (characterization in xml) or characterization ( ....... in VOTABLE)
survey/color can be 2MASS/J

2MASS/K
IRAS-IRIS/12MU
