Use of Quantity, STC and Characterization within Catalog. (Was: Re: Characterization predraft in Postscript

        Hi All,

	I'm cross-posting this to the characterization and catalog groups as this
	work overlaps both.

	In coordination with some of the others of you, Ed and I have been working
	on trying to do a serialization/datamodel for "Catalog" which utilizes 
	existing VO datamodels (namely STC, Quantity and Characterization).

	The main problem in moving forward with the catalog work has been the
	overlapping (and conflicting) nature of the above VO datamodels. We have tried
	to resolve the most aggregious issues and create a simple source catalog.
