Guy

I would be interested in explaining the Nesssi system. It is at http://us-vo.org/nesssi, and is a simple and secure SOAP mechanism for initiating and monitoring asynchronous jobs on high-performance computers and grid systems.

I am particularly interested in (a) discovering the kinds of long- running, high-resource services that would be useful to astronomers, and (b) standardizing a *simple* API by which asynchronous jobs can be specified, initiated, and monitored.

It would have to be your second or third session, as I cannot attend the first.

Thank you
Roy
