Interoperability and Small Projects Meetings, Pune, September 27 - October 1, 2004.

Accommodation in Pune : The Pride Hotel, Pune

We have reached an arrangement with "The Pride Hotel", Pune for accommodating people coming to the Interoperability Meeting and the Small Projects Meeting from September 27 to October 1, 2004. This is a good hotel with various amenities including restaurants, bars, swimming pool, gymnasium, internet, etc. It is located about 4 kms. from IUCAA and various points in the city will be easily reachable from the hotel. Free transport will be provided from the hotel to IUCAA.

The cost of a single occupancy room in the hotel will be Rs. 2500/- (about US $ 56) per day, and the cost per room for double/twin occupancy will be Rs. 2850/- (about US $ 64) per day. The room rent will include all taxes, airport transfers, buffet breakfast and a few other minor add-ons. Payment for the hotel rooms is to be made directly to the hotel, during the stay, with a credit card, traveller cheques or cash. No advance payment will be necessary, but those who cancel their room reservation after the deadline mentioned below will have to pay one day's charges to the hotel through IUCAA. To ensure that accommodation is available, participants are requested to reserve their rooms no later than August 7, 2004, by electronically submitting the accommodation form available on the meeting web site. Cancellations are permitted until September 20, 2004, after which one day's charges will be applicable.

A small number of rooms and studio apartments are available in the IUCAA guest house, which has adequate but limited facilities. These would be preferentially given to people with special needs, and those who do not have adequate financial support for their stay in a hotel. Please indicate in the accommodation form if you would like to be considered for the IUCAA guest house.

We expect to upload the accommodation form on the meeting web site in a day or so.
