Schema 0.8.3

Ray,

I started making some comments on the schema 0.8.2 which gradually got more drastic, so I ended up generating my own 0.8.3 version. The comments are as below.

Core change is to move ManagedResource stuff up into Resource, fold stuff like facility, instrument etc into Relationships, add descriptor into relationships etc.

Hope it all makes sense.

Comments on schema 0.8.2

vr:ResourceType
  vr:Type
    should be mandatory
    should only be single occurrence
  catagoryType renamed to categoryType (sp!)   combine vr:Description and vr:ReferenceURL into complex type     (use Relationship?)
  need to add vr:CurationType

vr:RelatedResourceType
  add description & make identifier optional (see RelatedResourceType.jpg)
? add url as well?

vr:ManagedResourceType
  drop Curation (moved to vr:ResourceType)   drop Facility and Instrument

• use Relationship (see above vr:RelatedResourceType)
  ? Subject should be called Keyword
  
  • if above accepted, move Keyword & ContentLevel to Resource
  • & derive everything from Resource

vr:CurationType
  drop Creator
  add Logo to CurationType
  Date should be CreateDate and LastUpdateDate   (or add EventDate complex type with DateType and Date)   do we need Contributor?
  Version - is this really relevant   

vr:CreatorType
  delete   

vr:ResourceReferenceType   

vr:ContactType
? drop Address and Phone
