You're welcome. Since one among many errors in my life quite a while ago
(say, 35 years ago) was not to be bold enough to switch from maths to
astronomy for good, I've been feeling like I've an ancient debt to this
science and community, so if the time I've past struggling with those
issues can be useful here ... At least to tag a few paths with "here be
monsters". :-)

Seriously now, the lack of proper simple and efficient SKOS editor(s) is
really a pain in the neck at the moment.
See http://esw.w3.org/topic/SkosDev/ToolShed. If it's not there, it's
nowhere. But there is not much.
Most of the time, given their simple structure, SKOS vocabularies are
currently produced by migration of existing vocabularies in whatever
text or proprietary format. Not difficult actually.
Maintenance is another story.
