It would be better if we could provide some text which could also have
links to external sources, but a user should be able to get an idea of
the meaning of the concept without needing to look at further external
sources. (Particularly if these are out of your control and could change
underneath you, e.g. wikipedia.)

I would say that each vocabulary is meant to have its own definition.
This could be the same as another vocabularies definition for the term,
but it should be explicitly stated in each vocabulary.
