theory session

Dear collegues
During the interop mneeting in Madrid there wil be 1 2-hour session of the theory
interest group, on Thursday afternoon, 16:45-18:30. The subject of this was basically defined at the end of the last meeting. We'll be discussing use cases defined by some of us and try to match these to the efforts of the IVOA working groups to define requirements for them.

To have something to talk about I urge those who volunteered to write up such use cases, to put the results of this on the theory TWiki pages. To this end I have created an index page at http://www.ivoa.net/twiki/bin/viewauth/IVOA/IvoaTheoryUseCases where you can add the title of your use case and link it to a page where you describe it in more detail. The format of the use case is not prescribed (so far). I have as an example started writing up one of my use cases following
the AstroGrid format, but feel free to use your own.

I would also hope that these same volunteers can introduce the use cases during
the session. Please you let me know whether this is possible, or, if not, whether
you will be able to produce the use case. If others wish to make contributions, please let me know as it may well be that
there is time available.
