I did the same exactly a year ago. UCDs have evolved since then, and the list I'm appending was not revised according to the new list now on-line. The list was generated merging the headers produced by 7 observatories/data_producers (with data in all ranges of wl).

I agree, even the "builder" will not be of great help with BITPIX!

If you think that the appended list (better, an updated version of it) could be the base for such a tool, I'll do it (the tool, I mean)
