VOEvent as Atom Feed

In the lead up to the Workshop in Tucson I just thought that I'd point people at,

    http://www.estar.org.uk/atom.xml

which is a combined eSTAR/TALONS Atom (RSS) feed of GCN alert messages in VOEvent format.

You can subscribe to this in the normal way via your favourite feed aggregator (such as NetNewsWire), although it's actually meant for programatic access, as right now the content of each feed entry is the raw VOEvent XML message. I may tidy this up later and offer two feeds, one of which will be human readable. The feed doesn't validate entirely cleanly right now, but I'm working on that, and most feed readers will make a good enough stab at parsing it that you can get the data back out (so that's all right!).

While live, and should update with each GCN message, this is under (heavy) development so may not be 100% reliable right now, I wouldn't go pointing telescopes using the information contained in this feed quite yet. The location of the feed is also subject to change without much notice.

Let me know if you actually do start using it for anything so I can let you know what's going on with it...

Cheers,
