Collaboration on crossmatch

Dear all,

Just some input from the VOTech project meeting I attended at ESO last week.

I gave a brief presentation about the work we are doing in the VOQL-TEG. It was strongly suggested that we might like to work with the IVOA Applications group in defining a crossmatch service/application standard.

Mark Allen, the Applications group chair, would be very happy for collaboration to occur on this subject. Various people are already doing practical work on crossmatching tools, and it could be very useful to capture their requirements and experiences.

If we think this is a good idea, perhaps we could go back to Mark with some kind of proposal for collaboration?
