China interop VOQL sessions

Dear all,

hmmmmm, I have been told off (my fault) for not having answered to Bob's claim to book room for the next interop session for the VOQL Working group.

I have to plan the number of sessions and the topics for them.

It is clear from what we have been discussing so far that we have three fields in which we'd like to comment:

  1. The ADQL
  2. The TAP (together with DAL)
  3. The Service

I have not seen any work yet done on the "3) The Service" side, although I am expecting Alex and Francois to do something soon.

There has been extensive work on ADQL and TAP.

I'd propose to have at least twoor three VOQL sessions to discuss on ADQL and at least one VOQL-DAL to discuss on TAP.

I would like that VOQL-TEG members who would like to, have the opportunity to present what we have been doing.

For obvious reasons, I would propose that, for ADQL, at least Inaki and Kona should speak. Other volunteers are welcome.

For TAP, I think myself (or delegated person), Doug, Kona and Francois should also talk (again, volunteers welcome).

For Services, I'd say that Alex (or delegated person, as I believe he is not coming to China) and Francois should speak.

Please let me know whether you'd like to present something, so we can make up a proper idea of how many sessions we will have. I will then send a not to the whole voql community to ask whether others would like to say something.

Please remind to fill in the meet-o-matic for next meeting as well.

Thanks.
Cheers,
P.
