Given that ADQL is a language and not a program, it in and of itself cannot prevent incorrect queries. Also, I don't think the converter claims to be a verifier. garbage in, garbage out.

Although I am not that service's author, I think the converter should be actually be called a SkyQL to ADQL converter, where SkyQL is defined in the ADQL spec as a restricted form of SQL. That spec specifically requires table aliases.
