VODataService is an IVOA schema, is stable at v1.0, and all services use it. Is it now deprecated? This standard is very precisely defined.

Perhaps it would be better to wait for the asynchronicity presentation before deciding? Aurelien explicitly said that he would not present details of aysnchronous queries, and we will see these this morning. There will be more on UWS on Friday morning.

Therefore, an implementor of TAP can already build a service with standard authentication and local authorization - i.e. the service includes its own lists of authorized users.
