Thanks for all the comments -- I'm somewhat surprised that this tiny addition of the ID attribute in <TR> looks so disputed... Whether I agree with most comments (not really required), I also feel that it's going to the way of simplicity to ensure that the schema is straightforwardly usable... Does this addition introduce any difficulty in e.g. TOPcat ?
